The wide-angle camera delivers very good results in a lot of light and at maximum resolution. If the light fades, you should work with 12 megapixels - and even then you still get mediocre. Neither the normal focal length nor the super-wide-angle can convince.
Wide angle (main camera) – 1.9/6 mm lens
(35mm equivalent: 26 mm), 108 MP sensor, JPEG with 108 or 12 MP
The wide-angle camera shoots with the maximum 108-MP or a resolution reduced to 12 megapixels. Our rating is based on the latter. In high light (5000 lux), however, it is worth switching to the maximum resolution because it delivers shots with more details. Fine details improve considerably: the 108 MP JPEGs are superior to those of the Xiaomi Mi 11 (108 MP). Even at light twilight (200 lux), the 12 MP JPEGs work their way forward, but the image quality still visibly decreases. The pictures lose even more definition in the dark, and their quality drops to a comparatively low level.
Normal focal length – 1.9/6 mm lens

Without a dedicated telephoto camera, Xiaomi zooms in with the main camera. Xiaomi again offers 108 and 12 megapixels as options. The 12 MP JPEGs, on which our rating is based, are decidedly low in detail even in the most favorable lighting conditions. Only the 108 MP JPEGs of the Redmi Note 10 Pro are usable in high light (5000 lux). The bottom line is that zooming with the wide-angle module is not very advisable.
Super wide angle – 2.2/1.6 mm lens
(35mm equivalent: 16 mm), 8 MP sensor, JPEG with 8 MP
The resolution of 8 megapixels is not enough for a competitive super-wide-angle camera and clearly limits its usefulness. It shoot quite low-detail pictures already in a lot of light. As the light fades, the image quality deteriorates further.
